Mandela once said, “Our children are the rock on which our future will be built, our greatest asset as a nation.” At Betapoint, we couldn’t agree more. We also believe that it is the responsibility of every individual and company to leave the world a better place. Which is why we are CSI partners to Afrika Tikkun. Through our ongoing relationship with this incredible organisation, we are committed to making a meaningful and sustainable difference in the lives and futures of South Africa’s youth.

Afrika Tikkun was founded in 1994 with the goal of developing and uplifting young people in under-privileged communities in South Africa. It aims to end child poverty and youth unemployment by providing education, health and social services to young people and their families. Their approach includes personal, leadership and academic development while also addressing the nutrition, health, and social needs of the young person. They also run work readiness programmes designed to lead to work placements, and implement skills development for out-of-school youth.

The youth of our country deserve a fair chance at a successful future. Through the support, encouragement and opportunities provided by Afrika Tikkun, and the companies that support them, we believe that the passion, tenacity and spirit of our youth will get a chance to shine through.
